German Shepherd and a Standard Poodle Breed Mix

The Shepadoodle is the result of a Cross between a German Shepherd and a Standard Poodle.

An Hybrid Dog is not a purebred dog and not recognized by the American Kennel Club and the Canadian Club; But Recognized by the American Canine Hybrid Club.

The cross with the Poodle is usually because of the Poodle's non-shedding coat and hypoallergenic qualities.

These mix breed dogs are commonly referred to as "designer dogs" and because they are big they are not as popular as some of the other smaller hybrid crosses.

Shedding: Minimal

Shepadoodle rarely sheds but these mix dogs are not guaranteed not to shed.

Brushing and other grooming requirements are minimal.

There are dogs with almost minimal or no doggy odor.

The coat of the Shepadoodle is generally medium in length and may be straight, slightly wavy, curly, or a combination of both.

Bathing of course when necessary.

Colors

They come in a variety of colors that include black,gray,cream, tan or sable.

Temperament

Temperament and many other aspects of the breed will be dependent on which parent has the dominant genetic characteristics.

The cross of these two breeds, (a purebred German Shepherd Dog and a purebred Standard Poodle) gives you a puppy doggie that is fun-loving, extremely smart and intelligent.

They are also calm, good indoor and outdoor companions. They can fit into almost any setting.

There are great for children; they have a warm, loving nature.

They of course are barkers but friendly and outgoing.

They are very smart and learn very quickly being one of the parent a German Shepherd these hybrid dogs are also competent as working dogs and guard dogs.

They are very energetic and athletic and for sure If you want to find a Dog Companion that will be living outdoor this is the one.

These hybrids dogs are protective like Shepherds, but sociable like Labradoodles.

They like to be together with the family, but also enjoys being independent.

Exercise

This Poodle Mix tend to need a good bit of exercise and will enjoy a daily walk and jogging.

They love to play with toys, be sure to provide them a lot of toys.

They Love Dog Parks and can be very friendly with other dogs with a good temperament.

Training

I recommended this for all dogs breed . You should be trained with a soft and gentle hand without harsh tones or tactics and lots of positive reinforcement like food treats and most important issue is to start training as early as possible if you want to have an happy life with your cute companion.

They are also excellent in obedience in agility training.

Health

Typically though, hybrid breeds are less vulnerable to breed-specific health issues and they. called "hybrid vigor." Scientific studies that have been done in this area have shown that crossbreeds are both healthier and live longer than purebred dogs.

Important Fact: Shepadoodle tends to be more like a Shepherd than a Poodle.
