Do to the fact that is not a purebred dog, his not an AKC recognized breed. But this cross is recognized by the American Canine Hybrid Club (ACHC). Designer Dogs Kennel Club (DDKC) and International Designer Canine Registry (IDCR).Facts and Characteristics:

Breed: Poodle and Pug Mix Breed (Hybrid Dog)

Adult Size:

Average height for females and males is about 6-14 inches or 35 to 41 Centimeters.

Average weight for male and female is about 8-18 pounds or3 t0 9 kilo.

Energy Level: High

Life Expectancy: 10-12 years

Shedding: Light

The body of typically has an average to square build.

The dog usually has dark brown eyes.

The nose tends to be prominent and black in color.

The hair coat can either be curly, like that of a Poodle or short and straight like that of a Pug.

The tail is long and curled and often lies on the back

This adorable dog comes in a range of colors like black, white, grey, cream, fawn, or orange.

Temperament

These great adorable dog are very lively they are affectionate, friendly and intelligent.

They are great family pets and generally do very well around children and also with other pets and perfect companion dogs for senior citizens

Tip to Remember: Never leave a small children alone with the dog.

They enjoy the company of others and do not like to be left alone for long periods of time.

These playful dogs enjoy doing things that please their owners and make them easy to willing to take the responsibility of being a great dog owner.

Grooming

Most owners choose to brush daily and possibly trimmed occasionally.

They should be bathed only when necessary.

Exercise.

These hybrid dogs are suitable for an apartment and living indoors: they are very active but they prefer to exercise inside because they don’t require a lot of space or a yard and enjoy playing with the family.

Of course daily trips to the park or the street are very recommendable, and just remember !!!! that they have to have a place for their own necessities.

Training

" Training requires patience and consistency."

Training the Pugapoo should begin at the earliest possible age, especially in regards to socializacion.

Praise and Reward - Always use Praise as a reward ; your little cute doggy wants your affection and approval. Remember to give your doggy lots of praise for good behavior.

Physical Punishment – It is prohibited – Never, ever strike your dog. It doesn’t matter what it does, The only thing that physical violence will teach your poodle will be fear and hatred.
