As an hybrid breed, the Pomeranian Poodle Mix is not recognized as a breed by the American Kennel Club, AKC, and Canadian Kennel Club CKC, the Continental Kennel Club or their affiliated organizations.

It is Recognized as of today for the following organizations;

Designers Dogs Kennel Club

International Canine Designer Registry

The intelligence of the poodle and his good nature dog, combine with the Pomeranian energetic will make a very good dog companion. The two of these breed love the company of people, and this is the reason that we would expect the Pomapoo to make a great family pet.

Weight approx: Male and Female:4-17pounds - 2Kg - 8Kg

Height approx: Male and Female:9-12inches - 23cm-30.5cm

Colors: apricot, fawn, white,red,black,they can be solid or tri colored.

Coat and Grooming.

Some Pomapoo share the looks of the poodle, with a very curly hair and beautiful floppy ears and some of them will take the Pomeranian features with soft hair and pointy fox-like ears.

Daily brushing and professional grooming has to be done in a regular basis to avoid matting and tangling.

The groomer will also clip the nails and remove hairs that grow in their ear canals that could cause infections.

Pomapoo is an hybrid poodle mixes dog that shed very little and also produce very little dander, a plus for allergy sufferers.

Health and Care

It is truth that hybrid dogs tend to be more healthy and have less genetic disorders that purebred dogs, I recommend that when you are going to purchasing a Poma-poo you may need to watch and talk with the breeder for the common healthy issues in the Poodle breed, like cancer, dysplasia and thyroid, and sometimes Diabetes; And in the The Pomeranian purebred dogs that tend to develop cataracts and dry eye.

Just remember the Hybrid Dogs suppose to be more healthy so all these genetic health problems should not be an issue, this is why I suggest to ask !! and better be safe than sorry and miserable and get your Designer Dog from reputable and responsible Poodle Pomeranian Mix breeder.

Dental hygiene is important to prevent early tooth loss.

To prevent ear infection it is important to keep ears always clean.

Bathing as necessary but not too often

Nutrition

The Poma-poos like all other dogs regardless of age or size must have the right nutrients that contain a proper balance of proteins, carbohydrates, fats minerals and vitamins.

Nutrition is the most important issue when you decide to bring your pomapoo puppy or your adult doggy to your home.

Training

These sweet little hybrid dogs are doing well in an apartment life but do enjoy the daily walk.

They are very easy to train but training should be consistent and relatively firm..
