My Dog is a Lhasapoo- A mix between a Poodle and a Lhasa Apso

My dog is a Lhasa Apso - Poodle Mix, Hybrid Dog.

Lhasapoo is his Hybrid Name

Her name is Awit.

She's 4 1/2 years old now.

She has the energy and intelligence of the Poodle and the strong will and independent character of the Lhasa Apso.

While she is content with sleeping soundly at my feet when I'm at work on the computer, she does love every opportunity of getting to go out for walks, jogging trips and car rides.

Being a mix, she fits her job well as "grooming aide" in our grooming shop, Barkbers Pet Styling Salon and Dog Boutique.

A grooming aide is basically a demo dog, a practice dog for grooming to assist our new staff / junior groomers in their perfecting-the-skills-of-grooming sessions.

Her mixed physical appearance allows our staff the opportunity to experiment on different cuts and styles. That explains why Awit through these years has sported many different hair cut styles, from approximating the look of a Poodle, to looking like a Lhasa Apso with a teddy bear cut, and even to carrying a modified terrier look.

! I guess this is one of the coolest things about owning a Lhasapoo Mix!
