It is not a Purebred and not recognized by any purebred Organization or Club. But this cross is recognized by the American Canine Hybrid Club (ACHC). The Lhasapoo is an hypoallergenic dog. Almost non Shedding. This great hybrid dog has a long, silky, wavy hair. Character and Temperament The Lhasapoo is a great companion dog who likes to be by your side especially if they are trained as a service dog.. This great hybrid dog is very affectionate, loving, and loyal dog. He is very family oriented and do not do well if ignored or left alone for extended periods of time. (most of the small and lovably dogs don;t like to be in this situation) Like most of the small breeds Boredom or loneliness will lead to destructive behavior and incessant barking. They do best in a home with older people or considerate children with small children you have to be very cautious. They like other dogs and cats if they are in the same household. They are good Guardian Dogs and are suspicious of strangers and they will be able to alert you from visitors or strange sounds.
Health. The overall health of the Designer Dog or other mix breed dog is excellent as per researchers of these two great breeds. Important !!!They may have trouble with "nervous tinkling" and a very sensitive stomach. But like with all small dogs I always recommended to gave them only a high quality food and no table scraps. WE don’t want them to have bloody vomit and diarrhea. "Always remember when you decide to get a Mixed Breed Dog !!! That the most accurate way to determine characteristics of a mixed breed is by researching the parent breeds."
