Diabetes In Our Love Ones- Our Lovably Poodles

I also had a toy poodle with Diabetes .

When he was just 6 years he started peeing a lot, drinking excessive water and throwing up. I took him to my regular vet to see what was wrong. He said your poodle has Diabetes

.

Diet is so important especially in small dogs. Low fat intake.

For the last 8 years I have taken him to two specialty hospitals.

He had a plasma transfusion one of the times he was very sick.

It did help give him strength. He had to have eye surgery. The eye specialist implanted a lens in his one eye the other eye was to far gone.

For the first 5 years he seemed to be doing fine but after almost 8 years of 2 shots a day his little body was having a hard time.

This past month my cute poodle really deteriorated.

His lens in his eye no longer worked because of macular deterioration.

In the past I took him to the best clinics in the country but the reality set in that he was not going to make it this time.

My wonderful doggie sweet Taylor died in his sleep on Feb.16th.

My Poodle Taylor was my dear dear friend.
