Jack a Poo
Jack Russell Terrier - Poodle Mix
The Jack a Poo is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Jack Russell Terrier and the Poodle.(Toy or Miniature)He is a hybrid dog gaining popularity in the US but very new at this moment. Like all hybrid, mixed or designer dogs you have to be aware that their looks, size, and temperament aren't as predictable as those of purebreds, since you don't know which characteristics from each one will they be developed. Facts and Characteristics Breed: Hybrid dogs breed group Height: Up to 11 inches tall at the shoulder (28 Cms) Weight: 13 to 20 pounds (6-9 kg) Life Span: 10 to 15 years Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being breed are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses. Also known with this other names: Jackapoo - Jackadoodle Poo-Jack -Poojack These mix breed is not been recognized by the American Kennel Club or Canadian Kennel Club. But he is recognized by the following Clubs and these are their specific recognized names. American Canine Hybrid Club = Jack a Poo Designer Dogs Kennel Club = Jack-a-Poo International Designer Canine Registry = Jackapoo Designer Breed Registry = Jack A Poo
Temperament These one of the Hybrid Dogs that get along well with families with children. They are not recommended for families with other types of pets. They are very energetic, happy, outgoing breed. They are very intelligent dogs who love to entertain. The Jack a Poo like the Jack Russell Terrier, is not lap dogs. Coat and Colors. The Mixed Poodle doggie come in many colors combinations, but the most common is white with tan or black markings.
Training “ The are relatively easy to train.” But !!!! Do to the fact that Jack Russell Terriers are known for their exceptional intelligence and energy, which can quickly lead them into trouble without skilled training from an early age. The Poodle also being very intelligent and calm will made a great combination and a smart choice to breed this two and getting a great hybrid dog. Very Important !!! " Training requires patience and consistency." Important Tip Be Consistent by correcting your hybrid dog every time it does something wrong and praise him every time he does something right. My recommendation for all kind of dogs breeds: You should be trained with a soft and gentle hand without harsh tones or tactics and lots of positive reinforcement like food treats and most important issue is start training as early as possible if you want to have an happy life with your cute companion.
